On this website you get to visit the Satakunnan Kansa newspapers photo archives. Pictures are added as the digitizing proceeds, so new content is added on the website continuously.
For the time being the collection data only exists in Finnish.
Digitizing project 2018
With a grant from The Finnish Cultural Foundation - Satakunta Foundation, the digitizing project began June 2018. At first the focus was on the pictures of built heritage in Satakunta region. Later the project moved its interest towards journal photos from the late 1930's to early 1960's.
